Bear with me this is my first post!

I'm sure I'm not the first person to start a blog that was unsure if anyone would ever read it or not. It feels like what you're writing will get lost out in cyberspace somewhere. For those who do happen to read this or even feel inclined to subscribe please bear with me! I am new to blogging and am a bit shy. Hopefully it won't take too long for me to come out of my shell :-) I have collected some beautiful patterns over the past couple of years commercial and non commericial. So many that you would think that I've been collecting for decades. I'm somewhat of a collector, but moreso plan on using the designs as inspiration for my future career in fashion designing and dressmaking. With that said, here is my first pattern of the day. Excuse the copyright watermark it's just that I don't want anyone passing it off as their own on Flickr or somewhere. So anyway got this pattern from an old German pattern magazine. Pictured above, the blue suit to the right is one of, if not the most suit designs I have ever seen. It is so classy! I love everything about it, the neckline, the three quarter sleeves, the layered side peplum, the side drape, and the skirt's side buttons. I could see myself wearing this to church on Sunday morning.

The dress on the left is has some interesting darts. Notice that the sleeves come to a point at the sides. I could see myself putting those sleeves on a slinky one piece dress, knee length with a jagged edge flounce.

Hopefully I'll get better at this blogging thing with time. Tips and pointers are welcome and appreciated. Until next time,

Jen
